Together with his brother Jim, John Gyurina is the Co-Founder and Principal of JG Contracting Company.
John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1987. He went on to work as a Project Engineer/Project Manager for two large national construction firms, where he was responsible for planning, estimating, and managing large-scale construction projects.
When the brothers founded JG, they wanted to provide a higher-quality service–one that delivered superior quality at a lower cost than the large corporations.
John’s construction and project management experience has been invaluable to JG. Since the company’s inception, JG has set the standard for safety, professionalism, and high-quality work. John’s attention to detail has helped build a loyal customer base and a reputation for excellence.
His 30+ years of construction experience and innovative ideas allow JG to design solutions that save our clients time and money. John knows that every job is different and is constantly searching for new and more efficient ways to do things.
From early in their careers, the brothers understood this wasn’t a standard way of thinking in their industry. While some contractors may settle for the easiest option, John and Jim dig deeper to craft unique, enduring solutions.
Today, John leads JG’s Estimators and Project Management Team, ensuring every project is completed with diligence and attention to detail.
